Grant Currie Appointed Judge of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Saskatchewan

Grant Currie, managing partner of Robertson Stromberg Pedersen LLP, has been appointed a judge of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Saskatchewan. He will be assigned to Saskatoon by the Chief Justice and will replace Mr. Justice I. Goldenberg.

 

Robertson Stromberg Pedersen LLP is sad to lose a distinguished colleague but wish him all the best in his new role as a Queen’s Bench Justice.

 

Mr. Justice Currie received a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan in 1980, and was admitted to the Law Society of Saskatchewan in 1981. He has lectured and presented papers to many organizations including the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association, the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association and the Saskatchewan Legal Education Society. He was an instructor at the Bar Admission course and has acted as Secretary of the Saskatoon Bar Association.

 

Irwin Cotler, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, announced Justice Currie’s appointment on February 25, 2005.
