Jennifer Pereira Successfully Resists Appeal on behalf of Client

Jennifer Pereira successfully resisted an appeal to overturn the decision of Justice Smith in the Robin Mowat v. University of Saskatchewan Students’ Union (“USSU”) and Canadian Federation of Students (CFS)  matter. Upon the initial application by Mr. Mowat, Justice Smith found that the USSU had acted in an oppressive manner during the course of a Referendum held by the USSU to determine whether it should join the CFS. Both the USSU and CFS appealed. Justice Richards, writing on behalf of the Court of Appeal of Saskatchewan, refused to allow the appeal.
