Ken Ziegler will be taking a Trade Mission to Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines from November 15th to December 6th, 2012. The Trade Mission is made up of delegates from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia from the food industry. The delegates who are all involved in exporting food products and services aim to expand their markets in South East Asia. Ken is also working with agribusiness in Indonesia, Thailand and Phillippines and assisting them to set up business operations in Canada.
Ken has recently returned from Hong Kong and Philippines working on Immigration matters and meeting with clients who are in the process of setting up business operations in Canada.
Bill Preston’s article uses two recent cases: Online Constructors Ltd v Speers Construction Inc. and Central Welding v Man-Shield to expose the risks drop-down and step-over clauses can present to subscontractors.
2012 is an election year for Benchers for the Law Society of Saskatchewan. Robertson Stromberg is happy to announce that Sean Sinclair has been deemed elected by acclamation as New Lawyer Bencher. Congratulations Sean.
Tiffany Paulsen Q.C. was recently named one of the “100 distinguished graduates” at the University of Saskatchewan College of Law Centennial Celebrations. The College of Law highlighted Tiffany’s impressive litigation record before the Court of Queen’s Bench, the Court of Queen’s Bench Family Law Division, the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court. In addition to her law practice, Tiffany has an extensive career in public service as a City Councillor in the City of Saskatoon. In 2000, Tiffany was the youngest person ever to be elected to Saskatoon City Council. Tiffany was re-elected in 2003, 2006, 2009 and 2012. In 2003, Tiffany was named one of the most influential women in Saskatchewan by Saskatchewan Business magazine and in 2009 Tiffany received her Queen’s Counsel designation. Tiffany was one of the youngest practitioners in Saskatchewan history to receive a Q.C. from the Minister of Justice.

A graduate of the University of Victoria, Karina comes to us after several years experience as a Family Lawyer in the Northwest Territories as well as acting as the Children’s Lawyer for the NWT for the past year.
