Jennifer Pereira has been elected chair of the board of directors for Persephone Theatre.
Founded in 1974, Persephone Theatre is a professional regional theatre company with a commitment to the production of widely diversified plays from the national and international repertoire employing local and national talent. It serves not only the city of Saskatoon and area but the entire province of Saskatchewan.
Located in the Remai Arts Centre in Saskatoon, Persephone Theatre produces a six play Main Stage series, a three play second stage series (The Deep End) and six productions for youth, including a provincial tour. As part of its mandate, Persephone supports the development and production of new work and local playwrights.
Persephone Theatre is a not-for-profit registered charity. What started out small has grown into a major force in both the city’s and region’s theatrical life.
