Alexandre to present at STLA Teleseminar

Partner Misty Alexandre is co-presenting “EMJA: Enforcement Under the New Act” on November 28, 2013 as part of the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association’s Teleseminar program.  Along with McDougall Gauley’s Clayton Barry, Misty will be offering pratical tips for lawyers navigating through the debt recovery process of the recent Enforcement of Money Judgments Act.

 

 

Getting Paid for a Job Well Done

Misty Alexandre will be presenting “Getting Paid – The Legal Side of Collecting on a Job Well Done” to members of the Saskatoon Construction Association following their Annual General Meeting on November 26th, 2013.   The seminar will explore ways to maximize the chances of collection, including a discussion of key provisions in The Builders’ Lien Act and the recently enacted Enforcement of Money Judgments Act.

Construction 101 with Misty Alexandre

Partner Misty Alexandre is among the presenters at the Construction 101 course offered at Prairieland Park on November 13th and 19th.  Construction 101:  A Comprehensive Introduction to the Construction Industry is a collaborative initiative between the Canadian Construction Association and its affiliated construction associations across Canada. The course is designed to help new and existing administrative staff become more knowledgeable about the basics of the construction industry.

Misty will be addressing  “Legal Matters” including basic principles and typical contracts.

Pereira to Address First Year Law Students

Robertson Stromberg Partner Jenn Pereira will present an etiquette seminar entitled, “Finishing School:  Etiquette Lessons for Life Outside the Classroom” to first year law students at the College of Law, University of Saskatchewan.

Jenn’s presentation will cover a myriad of topics including social etiquette, appropriate court room behaviour and legal ethics.

The presentation will be held on November 6, 2013 at 2:25 pm in Room 150 at the College of Law.
