Meet our Lawyers

Chelsie McKay

Chelsie’s focus is family law, including, but not limited to, decision-making for children (previously known as “custody”), parenting, property division, child and spousal support along with property division. Chelsie also assists with independent adoptions and step-parent adoptions.

With extensive courtroom experience, Chelsie has appeared in all levels of Saskatchewan’s courts, and drafted materials in response to an application for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada.

Chelsie is also a family law mediator pursuant to The King’s Bench Act and loves helping people negotiate settlements.

Chelsie attended the University of Saskatchewan where she obtained a Bachelor Degree in Economics with Great Distinction.

Chelsie volunteers with the Family Law Information Centre, providing free legal guidance to the public, and participates with Pro Bono Saskatchewan. She is also on the executive with the CBA Women Lawyers Section and the CBA Family Law Section. Lastly, she is a Board Member for the Saskatoon Sexual Health Clinic.
