Tiffany Paulsen Receives Life Membership Award from SUMA

Congratulations to Tiffany Paulsen who has been awarded the 2018 Life Membership Award by the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA).

This award is granted by the SUMA Board of Directors, and recognizes an individual whose career exemplifies commitment and dedication to the community and significant contributions to urban government in Saskatchewan through the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association.

Tiffany was first elected to city council in 2000. At the age of 27, she was the youngest person ever elected to Saskatoon City Council and was subsequently appointed the youngest deputy mayor in the history of the city. She represented her ward for 16 years before choosing not to run for a sixth term.

During her second term on council, Tiffany was appointed to represent the City of Saskatoon on the SUMA Board of Directors. Her commitment to her hometown of Saskatoon and other Saskatchewan municipalities is evident as in 2016, Tiffany was sitting on more than 20 local, provincial and national boards, commissions, and committees.

The award will be presented at the President’s Banquet and Awards Ceremony held during the SUMA convention in Saskatoon February 3-6, 2019.
