Legal Assistant – FAMILY LAW

Robertson Stromberg is looking for a professional Legal Assistant, who will be responsible for providing exceptional, efficient, proactive, and highly accurate legal administrative support in the area of family law.   The position is located in one of the most historic buildings in downtown Saskatoon. 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Prepare various legal documents from notes, voicemail, email, and dictation;
  • Organize and coordinate lawyer’s schedules;
  • Enter lawyer’s timesheets and process monthly client billing;
  • Open, maintain, and close files in a timely fashion;
  • Photocopy, fax, and scan documents;
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner;
  • Follow office policies and standard procedures.

Qualifications: 

  • Legal Assistant diploma or related with 3+ years of experience in a law firm;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel;
  • Document management and practice management software experience;
  • Combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.

  • Ability to deal effectively with conflicting priorities;

  • Work with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment;
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures (billing, invoicing);
  • Knowledge of legal concepts and terminology;
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
