Sophia Lagimodiere

Sophia received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2023 and was called to the bar in 2024. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (High Honours) in Political Studies with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan (2020).

Throughout her studies, Sophia served as a Managing Editor for the Saskatchewan Law Review, held positions on the Law Students’ Association and Indigenous Law Students’ Association Executives, participated in CLASSIC’s Intensive Clinical Law Program, sat on the College of Law’s Student Advising and Wellness Committee, volunteered for Level’s Indigenous Youth Outreach Program, and performed as a lead singer in the College of Law’s band ‘The Dissent’. She also was appointed as Deputy Speaker for the Métis Nation Legislative Assembly, wrote for Eagle Feather News, and was a Research Intern for a Senator of Canada.

Sophia was the recipient of a First Year Moot Honourable Mention Award, the Saskatchewan Law Review Honour, and the M.J. Coldwell Prize in Canadian Affairs.
