Gwen Goebel recently overturned the lower court’s ruling in Wiegers v. Gray at the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal.

Gwen successfuly convinced the Court of Appeal that the passage of time alone is not a material change in circumstance that should lead a court to vary a long standing custody order. This clarifies the law in Saskatchewan in this area and is important to Saskatchewan practitioners and parents given conflicting decisions from other provinces.
