Melvin Gerspacher awarded CBA Community Service Award

The Canadian Bar Association, Saskatchewan Branch has announced that  Melvin A. Gerspacher of Robertson Stromberg Pedersen LLP  is its 2011 Community Service Award recipient.

The Community Service Award was created to recognize valuable contributions of CBA members who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, service and commitment in serving the communities of our province.

 

Melvin is a tireless volunteer within the community.  When not practicing law or spending time with his family, Melvin devotes time to various civic organizations in a leadership capacity.  Melvin contributes his time and skills to Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, Catholic Family Services of Saskatoon Foundation, and Saskatoon Community Service Village.  Until recently he also served with Saskatchewan Catholic Health Corporation and Catholic Family Services of Saskatoon.

Charitable organizations are often in need of professionals with Melvin’s skills in accounting, tax law, and non-profit governance.  Melvin contributes his abilities without hesitation.  Melvin projects a warm, cheerful attitude to the people he volunteers with.  He resolves conflicts and handles other difficult situations with remarkable patience and admirable tact.

The 2011 Community Service Award will be presented Thursday, June 23rd, at the Law Society Annual Meeting dinner, to be held in the Regency Ballroom, at the Hotel Saskatchewan in Regina.
