Robertson Stromberg’s Tiffany Paulsen and Chris Donald were interviewed for the most recent issue of Canadian Lawyer. The article “Saskatoon: Strong Economy Boosts City’s Legal Profession” by Mervin Brass looks at the recent growth in Saskatchewan’s economy and the resulting effect on Saskatoon’s legal community.
Tiffany Paulsen, leader of RS’s Recruitment and Retention Committee, says applications are at a record high which reflects the optimism of our community and the firm’s respectful attitude toward a balanced, inclusive workforce. Paulsen says the firm’s partnership supports women starting a family by “making sure they have a practice to come back to when they come back from maternity leave”.
Chris Donald praised the work of RS’s young lawyers, particularly the growing role of young female partners: “A number of years ago we were hiring a lot of women associates who started off as articling students and stayed on as associates and then ultimately came on as partners … we noted that we were doing very, very well by the women we hired in our firm”. Robertson Stromberg has a 60/40 male to female ratio at the Partners’ table.
