The discussion will include perspectives on how leaders of the justice sector are using data and design methods to foster a collaborative and coordinated approach to improving family justice in Saskatchewan. In addition, they will discuss cabin rentals within Regional Parks.

Congratulations to Sean Sinclair for joining the board of directors of Prairie Hospice Society. Prairie Hospice Society is a charitable, non-profit community organization working to ensure access to compassionate, community-based, end-of-life support in Saskatoon. Its goal is to enhance quality of life at the end of life, wherever people call home. Prairie Hospice Society provides one-on-one companionship and non-medical support for clients and their families, educates the community about end-of-life care, and advocates for quality end-of-life care.

Timothy Hawryluk, K.C. Appointed Public Inquest Coroner

Timothy Hawryluk, K.C. will preside as coroner at the inquest relating to the death of Curtis McKenzie, an inmate at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary.  The inquest is scheduled for October 31 to November 4, 2022, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. The purpose of the inquest is to establish when and where the person died and the medical cause and manner of their death. Thereafter the inquest jury may make recommendations to prevent similar deaths in the future.

Jennifer Pereira, K.C., Appointed for Second Term as Trustee on the Board of the Canadian Museum of History

On September 21, 2021, the Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage, announced the reappointment of Jennifer Pereira, K.C., to the board of the Canadian Museum of History.

Jennifer first joined the Museum’s Board of Trustees in March 2018, and since that time, she has made significant contributions to numerous Museum priorities, including the workforce assessment process and the Museums’ cultural transformation. She has also been a dedicated member of Board Committees, providing guidance and expertise as part of the Development and Finance Committees.
